We Eat Out In Savannah

Mr. Fettucini and Ms. Goulash were in the mood for Mexican cuisine. We tried a cute little place named Juarez Mexican Restaurant in mid-town Savannah on the corner of Waters Ave. and 71st Street. Mr. Fettucini, please habla Mexicana to us:

Mr. Fettucini: Hola to You's All! I ain't bi-lingual but Ms. Goulash, who studied Spanish for six years has taught me a few words and phrases over the years. Ms. Goulash, te amo! Anyways, I really enjoyed Juarez Mexican Restaurant. The proprietors are very friendly and accomodatin'. I ordered a burrito and a chile relleno. Very authentic tastin'. The background music is Mexican also. I like this because who wants to go to a Mexican restaurant to hear the current top 20 countdown. Not me. Give me a Mariachi band! Ole!!

Ms. Goulash: Dahlings, I ordered a chicken fajita quesadilla. It was fabulous, dahlings. I was almost tempted to get up and do some gypsy dancing for Juarez. It's very similar to Flamenco dancing except for more twirling and less stomping. Muchas gracias, Juarez!

We Eat Out In Savannah

Mr. Fettucini and Ms. Goulash recently went to Jazz'd Tapas Restaurant in downtown Savannah. Mr. Fettucini, please elaborate:

Mr. Fettucini: Yo y'all (notice how I'm startin' to sound Southern)! Jazz'd is located in the City Market area. You go down some steps to get into the restaurant. I liked that. It gave me visions of the speakeasy days, which were before my time, of course but from the movies I've seen, those appeared to be the glam places way back when. Tapas is food served in appetizer portions. You get to taste a lot more when eatin' this way since you don't fill up as fast (at least, I have to say, it takes a lot to fill up this little Italian). Ms. Goulash and I shared delicious crab cakes and a plate of shrimp wrapped in prosciotto with a tangy sauce drizzled over them. Very nice. Later in the evening, a jazz group played, so you get an extra badda bing for your buck. Yep, I liked it here and will be back because you don't get tapped out eatin' Tapas.

Ms. Goulash: Dahlings, I was a little disappointed. I wasn't sure what Tapas was but in my mind, I thought that the waiters and waitresses would be tap dancing their way to us when serving the entrees. Sadly, dahlings, I was wrong. Too bad because I had my tap shoes in my large handbag and was going to join them on the floor (I've taken a whole three months worth of tap lessons...that's 12 weeks...I'm practically Ginger Rogers at this point, dahlings). I do, however, agree with Mr. Fettucini. I liked Jazz'd too!
