We Eat Out in Savannah

It was a hot summer Saturday night. Mr. Fettucini and Ms. Goulash just wanted something easy so we ventured out to Huc-A-Poo's at 1213 U.S. Highway 80 on Tybee Island. Mr. Fettucini, please lead us on:

Mr. Fettucini: Hey, how are you's and are you enjoyin' this here summer weather? My experience at Huc-A-Poo's was like a flashback to the late '60's early '70's. They have old LP record album covers on the ceilin' and lots of memorabilia from that era. In fact, one of the guys there looks alot like Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones (but it's not Keith). Now, let me tell you's...that was my era. Yes, Mr. Fettucini must admit that he was into making love, not war and not trustin' anyone over 30. Now that I am in my 50's, I don't trust anyone over 90. Huc-A-Poo's really reminded me of someplace I visited years ago on Stinson Beach in California which is outside of San Francisco. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to find out that the proprietors of this establishment are California transplants. Now, as for the food. We ordered a pizza with half mushrooms (no, not magic ones) and half onions. I must admit, the pizza was pretty good. To be honest, very good. This is a very relaxed place. Just the sort of place you want to go to on a lazy summer night. Of course, Ms. Goulash might say that for me, that's most nights.

Ms Goulash: Dahlings, I was a bit of a flower child myself. Flowers in my hair, flowers everywhere. Flowers, gauze skirts, earth shoes, music and campfires...what a life. Love was free and everyone was always so happy...although I'm not sure, dahlings, if that was because everyone's mood was better or if it was drug induced but none the less, thoughts of the late 60's/early 70's bring back fond memories and that's what Huc-A-Poo's did for me and Mr. Fettucini. Want to go back to a better time dahlings, go to Huc-A-Poo's and set yourself free (after you order a pizza).
