Mr. Fettucini and Ms. Goulash ventured out for Brunch on Fathers Day to a spot located at 37th and Abercorn named Cafe 37. This is a cute bright yellow colored little building with a lovely side garden for outside dining. Mr. Fettucini, give us your take:
Mr. Fettucini: Yo, happy belated Fathers Day to all you's who are fathers. When Ms. Goulash and I were seated inside Cafe 37, I looked around and had the distinct feelin' that there was a memo I didn't receive. All the men at 3 of the other seated tables were dressed in seersucker pants like the kind Matlock wore in his mystery series TV show. I guess seersucker is the Sunday uniform in Savannah. No problem, I actually admired those seersucker pants that Matlock wore and I believe I have a pair somewhere in the back of my closet. I'll have to pull them out so that next time, I'll blend. I really liked Cafe 37. Our waitress asked me if I was from New York due to what she called "My Accent". I told her no, I was from Philly. She told me she was from Brooklyn and would have sworn that I was a New Yorker. I thanked her for the compliment. Now, as for the food....I ordered a bowl of their very delicious french onion soup and their ceasar salad with white Sicilian anchovies (this touch intrigued me). I was very pleased with my Brunch and told the waitress that Cafe 37 was now added to our list of favorite spots to eat.
Ms. Goulash: Dahlings, I ordered the lox and bagel with cream cheese, red onions, capers and salad greens. A perfect Brunch item. I found Cafe 37 to be charming and who wouldn't want to be charmed every now and then, right dahlings.
