DRIFTAWAY CAFE SANDFLY
Recently, Mr. Fettucini and Ms. Goulash had the pleasure of dining at the Driftaway Cafe on Skidaway Road in Sandfly. Mr. Fettucini, if you haven't drifted too far, could you please elaborate on our dining experience:
Mr. Fettucini: Hey, all you's drifters out there. Driftaway Cafe is a little oasis. We dined on the enclosed back porch which overlooks a little stream along which, the Driftaway owners have planted all kinds of tropical plants and hangin' from a tree limb is a carved monkey who appears to be hangin' onto a vine. My thoughts very easily drifted away (and all this without any hallucinogenic assistance...but then, I haven't had any of that kind of assistance in years...the only kind of mind altering drug I might be in need of these days is ginko biloba...'cause Ms. Goulash says I can't remember jack). It was a nice night but still on the warm side, so I ordered a salad with grilled salmon. You'd think I would'a still been hungry after just eatin' a salad but it was a large one and very filling. I let Ms. Goulash drive home because I didn't feel like concentratin' on the roadway or anything else. I just wanted to savor that lazy feelin' and continue to drift. I don't think my snoring bothered Ms. Goulash too much since we didn't have that far to drive.
Ms. Goulash: Dahlings, I really enjoyed the Driftaway Cafe too. I also ordered a salad. Mine came with grilled chicken, pecans and crumbled blue cheese Mr. Fettucini and I have an agreement that only one of us gets to have that blank stare while we are out. Otherwise, who knows what we might end up eating, Dahlings.
