We Go Out In Savannah

Sisters on the Fly

Mr. Fettucini and Ms. Goulash attended a gathering at a campground on Tybee Island recently.  The name of the event was Sisters on the Fly.  Mr. Fettucini will lead the way:

Mr. Fettucini:  Whoa!  First off, ain't nobody gonna confuse me with a sister.  I just needed to put that out there first and foremost.  Now, we drove the convertible to Rivers End Campground on Tybee Island to check out all these old time trailers (you's know...those things that people hook up to the back of their cars or trucks and then they go to these here campsites and sleep in their trailers so that they don't have to worry about bed bugs at hotels or motels...they only got to worry about mosquitoes, bees, ants, noisy neighbors and if they ain't got those trailers that got their own toilets, then they also gotta use community toilets and showers).  Ms. Goulash says it's lots of fun and reminds her of the old days when she and her family moved around to different gypsy campsites.  Anyways, my better half wanted to see the old time trailers, so her wish is my command.

Ms. Goulash:  Dahlings!  I was in my glory at Rivers End Campground!  All those trailers!  All those campfires!  All the ladies having so much fun together!  They told us stories about where they had traveled from...distances as far as California and Oregon.  Some of the ladies met up in Texas and caravaned their way to Georgia.  We went inside every trailer.  They were all unique but one in particular caught my eye.
Ready for it...here it is...
The gypsy trailer!!!  None finer!  My people were represented.  Mr. Fettucini and I sat around this campsite for longer than he had anticipated (talk about ants....my little Italian was born with ants in his pants...he doesn't know the meaning of the word patience!)
Mr. Fettucini:  Yo!  I can can hear you's writin' this, you's know!
Anyway dahlings, I asked my fellow gypsy travelers whether they would join me in a ceremonial dance around their campfire and of course they delightfully complied.  Gypsies, as you know, are the original Sisters On The Fly, dahlings!
